Givenchy 9/11 Fashion Week show: a love letter to New York

Oregon, Portland - Report by Katherine. Today, we will give information about Givenchy 9/11 Fashion Week show: a love letter to New York .

I must confess I was really trilled when I first heard that Riccardo Tisci has decided to open up his #NYFW SS2016 shows to the audience. Fashion week and pour! It all high fashion/hautecouture thing has been the poster child for exclusivity and a pathetic effort by celebrities in the day to cut "a place" where only the who's who in the daily gossip can put together without the riff-raff. (here comes the rant-Yes! during the fashion week I keen to see and read about shows and people who take them to life, not about Kim Kardashian or such will be present ... but that's me and I don't want to say more.)

Let's hear it for Givenchy and the first strike against fashion layering!

Best of NWFY SS16: Givenchy

Tisci dedicated distribution to 1200 tickets for the general public on first come first serve base and further deposed 280 of these free pass specifically for fashion students at FIT, Pratt Institute, Parsons and the High School for fashion industries. Yes! Add live streaming, and #NYFW are not the same, in a way way good sense. I hope other label will follow suit.

as was the show's date, which I understand is awarded by the CFDA. Tisci really seems to have embraced the resonances of 11 september and turned its debut New York show in a touching and powerful tribute. Disposal of color for monochromatic black and white looks brought drama and make sure but exquisite details of clothes and crafts emphasized more the designer's interest and desire to honor the lives lost and pay tribute to the love and humanity.

lingerie-like lace dresses and tops-which appeared as one of the most important trends of NYFW2016 gathered so far-had an exquisite Gothic feel to it. But my favorites were the men's clothing: some structured some more liquid, but all done to perfection.  Structured silhouettes certainly had a gloomy element to them, but they were so perfectly made that the end result was an eternal Captivate.

along with couture dresses and tunics, some heavy embellished with metal chains, pearls, lame , metal items, tulles and textured leather, view of classical beauty was front and Center.

in the genuine Givenchy style, were some of the more developed see also topped off with facial jewelry , romantic lace masks and warrior-like metal head band which added to the surreal vibe of the show. Add to that the models had to go above the staking pallets (which unfortunately resulted in some faux-pas and falls) to the rhythms of the music from different religions and cultures, and we had a real House Givenchy Show that Hubert de Givenchy would be proud.

it was only proper to close it Show "Ave Maria" on the basis of the Freedom Tower tribute in light.  Without a doubt was the highlight of the Givenchy show New York Fashion week. It takes a huge effort to top this.
