Happy Friday all! I know it's Halloween tomorrow, but no! This post is not about costumes or last minute tips for the parties. Rather than add in honor of all our beloved feline babies and protest to the superstition about black cats I 20 fascinating images that capture the beauty, character and grace these wonderful creatures.

many cultures revere cat cats including the black cats. In ancient Egypt was Persia and the Roman Empire cats rock stars in the animal world. Not until the middle ages did folklore about black cats and bad took hold of Europe alerts. Still, even today, people who don't give a sh * about superstition would stop before adopting a black kitten. I really hope that people will once and for all destroy from the chains superstition and prejudice. All cat and dog in a shelter deserves a forever home; each spread out it must love and comfort!

I can not possibly make a post about the cats without paying tribute to Istanbul and its tousands of free r o aming feral inhabitants that is loved by locals and visitors alike.  One of these furry munchkin is captured perfectly by Shaun Higson in the picture above. And so, it is perhaps the best of them all: the 1961 Hollywood audition for a black cat (pictured below). If you have not seen the picture the article by Time Magazine, you're in for a threat here.
