Be it a Boho chair, a fabulous pouffe or a mix and match collection of pillows on a shabby chic white sofa, they all have to make a dull room into an oasis of relaxation, the miraculous power. Well, if you want all to go on a Boho look, the key to these five simple steps is to keep:

STEP One. Find an ethnic carpet. It is great way to cover your existing flooring if there is not much to tell. Places such as World Market, Pier One Imports, or your local import stores are looking for a great places.

Second Step. Take a stock of your throw pillows and keep the colorful that you still like. Then add some extra in different shapes, textures and colors.

Step Three. If you do not have one, get some low furniture (i.e. side tables, coffee table, a small sofa, buffet, chests) in wood that is either pained, stained, or a natural finish has. The rustic and unrefined, the better. One or two pieces is that you need.

Step Four. Buying old frame from your local thrift store and hang your photos, posters and paintings, other collection all on one wall. The "gallery wall 'is a good way, a space, distinctive and opened to make a small room. Do not put furniture against the wall.

STEP Five . decorative elements are key. Get some metal lanterns, candlesticks, trays, ethnic masks, wood carvings, etc. that you like and position them strategically.

a friend of mine is going on vacation next week (lucky girl!) and with the usual before the trip anxiety also kicked in a panic to be in a bathing suit and as she put it, on the screen. I personally never felt uncomfortable something I chose to carry and I hope more people are like me. But I also understand the turmoil my friend felt. So, after I gave her a good long pep talk, I suggested we buy for my favorite Beach trend this summer:

I wrote this post in May when I just started this blog and I was surprised at how many chimed in to express how they felt about the uneasy and how they look. It is and has always been very disappointing for me to see and hear the people about errors in anxing their bodies. I'm 65 (shhhh you didn't hear it) and have always been petite but I never starved myself or deprived myself what I want to eat to look thin. Moderation and exercise (and for me some Salsa dancing) would do what nature and genetics had in store for each of us. 

and yet, our notions of beauty is so heavily influenced by what we see in fashion magazines, runaways and the big screen: all size 0 models over 5 ' 9 "and actors such as melt before our eyes in the grotesque emaciated fugurines. is unhealthy! 

so girls and girls, this summer be comfortable in your own skin and embrace your sensuality and beauty of the body. Put on some sexy bikini, a lovely dress that screams I am gorgeous, and can enjoy life.

I am ready with take a on my friend's new-home-fixer-upper home improvement project. (you can see the original post for back story) Surprise! There are complications with the document, the title etc., so my friend has his hands full, but she is in love with the idea of turning the House dream home. So we've been busy going over and planing much-anticipated projects (and there are a ton of them ...).

To start, it is really a bad idea to try to recreate an outdoor living room that is centered around a beautiful swimming pool (as the ad picture)-when you never need a swimming pool! But to put that page at the moment, here's the good news: two dozens of white rose bushes get her as layered green belt on blooming white row look, which is just amazing. The House already has mature trees and some evergreen shrubs around the fence so this is an easy fix.

the bad news, aside from the obvious, is that the site shown is small, dark and generally difficult. Teak bench is a perfect fit. I like the concrete table with teak and fine China because it provides an eclectic contemporary euro look.

blue and white dinnerware would be a good choice to start to build around for the French country home décor I hope my friend would chose to run in the kitchen and dining room . (But I'll live that for another post ... maybe we should start planing on that when she actually moved.)

some large cobalt blue or Oriental flower pots, a hanging basket of petunia and some nice tropical looking foliage plants can go a long way to make the room inviting.

I am really fascinated by the "human furniture collection" of hviterussere-born designer Dzmitry Samal. It is a wonderful mix of industrial style and classical sculpture. The clean and simple geometric shapes morphed with sculptural beauty of a male body creates a striking impression, to say the least.

both fashion and interiors have many things in common. As a modern art form, each is trying to change, or at least heavily influence our appearance, lifestyle and sense of beauty. But at its essence, and as with other art, fashion and interior design is also perhaps the most common means these days in order to convey a social status and configure our acceptance of what is "normal". No doubt, Mr. Samal demolishes the traditional limits of "normalcy" and the slave not to Puritan beliefs about "home comfort". (I love it!) The result is bold, arrogant and strikingly beautiful.

the pieces in this collection is realized in polypropylene (a type of soft plastic) with a metal base of support and, according to http://www.trendhunter.com are available in gold, black, purple, blue and green. I could not find much additional information about production and availability; and surprisingly, there's no pictures of executed Interior that I could find. Go figure!

this extraordinary furniture design line would surely look fantastic in the industrial loft type but I think the elegance of these pieces is much more versatile. So here's what I would do if I can get my hands on it:
